Waterfall Blue Japanese Teapot

A Japanese Yokote teapot, with its side handle that is one with the ceramic of the teapot, ergonomic shape. Its deep blue color on its lower flanks seems to receive a shower-cascade by thousands of small splashes which trickle down its curves. The enamel intensifies this impression of freshness from the top of the teapot.

The ceramic of exceptional quality forms these thousands of splashes during cooking thanks to the minerals contained in the clay of the glaze, here of an incredible brilliance. Its pottery name "Kyusu" undoubtedly refers to the Japanese archipelago where the waters are of great beauty.
