Contemporary Japanese design tea set, black ceramic with the "distant mountain" pattern, the series name of this model. A nice contrast between the colorful and smooth glaze of the mountain that stands out clearly and subtly against the black and grainy ceramic, visually comparable to the black cast iron of certain Japanese kettles. The soft color of the glazed inner walls of the small cups complements this sober and chic set. 

Black pottery is very ancient, the material comes from the lower layers and the quality obtained after firing at high temperature 1320°C contains a good amount of iron. This material is nicknamed "the stone bone that has not touched the wind."
