Small starry waves porcelain enameled teapot
¥9,900
Small enameled porcelain teapot "starry waves", to refer to VanGogh's "starry night". The Dehua workshops were inspired by this great classic, while adding their Asian style that we recognize, the stars have become flowers with an enamel overlay. The result is stunning. The design is classic, we like the lid whose regular and typical pattern transports us into the cosmos or into the sea waves.
The Dehua workshops are recognized as the first in China where classical and modern arts coexist. Pattern in overglaze and enameled overlay for the flowers. Gilding applied by hand.

Cracked ceramic teapot with gingko leaves

This little Chinese teapot is, if you like, accompanied by its tea pot and its little cups. The Gaiwan in the same model is sufficient on its own for a personal tea.

Chinese porcelain teapot with a thousand flowers
from ¥9,300
A Chinese teapot in fine porcelain with traditional Thousand Flower motifs, it is small, it is used according to Chinese custom for connoisseur tasting of carefully chosen tea. The translucent, luminous white porcelain is covered with enameled designs in rich, subtle pigments. The result could be compared to that of certain silks intended for sumptuous outfits. The cup that can accompany it is no less exquisite, a hollow at the bottom of the base allows it to rest on an island in the center of the saucer to prevent it from tipping over. The typical Chinese small bowl is no less charming.
Fine porcelain, from which the raw ore kaolin has been carefully selected, then molded at a very high temperature of 1300°C. The pattern applied to the biscuit was also subjected to very high temperature for this flocked, enameled and soft effect. The hand-painted gilding gives a luxurious and elegant finish. We like the gold lid button with a little flower at the top.
The teapot has a volume of 230ml, height 8.9cm. The cup 80ml, height 6cm, saucer 9.7cm in diameter. The 140ml bowl has a diameter of 7.8cm, height 5cm.

Traditional plum blossom ceramic teapot
¥9,300
Traditional plum blossom ceramic teapot. The round and chunky design is that of the traditional Chinese, artisanal for its relief pattern and its cooking. Here we have an illustration of what the same pattern gives with different treatments and firings. The branch of plum blossoms is highlighted all in delicacy of gilding for the sophisticated Celadon and Jade Porcelain models, while it appears strong and solid on a ceramic with powerful and rustic colors. The plum blossom is associated with spring, with the end of bad cold and harsh days, with rebirth after trials.
The rustic ceramic has been passed through several kilns, hence its name. Celadon is known for its monochrome color in blue-green shades, often reminiscent of water. Jade porcelain charms with its shine. We recognize the know-how of the workshops Jingdezhen, tradition and refinement.

Dragon egg ceramic and silver teapot
¥31,400
Ceramic and silver teapot, a Dragon egg as we like. Pure ovoid lines, shine and luminosity for superb artisanal pottery. Its refined, precise pattern executed by hand takes shape with the plated silver, and gives a feeling of depth and relief. The dragon, emblem of wisdom, power and luck, can be a magnificent masculine present. The egg represents life, projects.
The process of silver gilding is to grind 99.9% silver into fine powder melted at high temperature in ice water, and then paint the surface of the teapot. It is annealed at high temperature so that the silver takes shape with the ceramic. Then comes polishing, of which we can see the traces of manual intervention. We then proceed to execute this wonderful Dragon motif, rich in color, detail and precision.
This teapot has the same qualities as a silver teapot. Remember that silver is germicidal and bactericidal, it softens the tea water which makes it tastier "it has the softness of silk" say the ancients.
Capacity 170ml, height 9cm, diameter 11cm. Ball-to-hole filter.
