Patchwork design porcelain cup and saucer. A result that is astonishing and creative, to say the least, reminiscent of the "baba cool" periods when patterns were combined in all directions. Here we have the added bonus of a mix of design which causes unevenness on the contours of the cups and saucers. Unusual, harmonious or provocative mixtures, there is something for everyone. The cups with their saucers thus have a dual personality depending on which point of view they are observed. The gilding finely delineates the changes in patterns, and generously covers the stylized ear-shaped handle.
The porcelain is rich, strong in pigments, its whiteness is exquisite, the overglaze patterns are careful. The hand-applied gilding gives a luxurious touch to this vintage style.
