Porcelain cup with fine "white blue" motifs reminiscent of certain Provençal motifs. These are very detailed and the thin gold friezes around the edges of the cup and base frame the blue of the flowers nicely. A small hint of gold found on the stylized handle, raises its great lord side.
The porcelain is fine, we said "porcelain de chine" at the time when the great class was to have objects in porcelain de chine. The quality has remained ever since.
The "blanc bleu" technique is at the origin of the beautiful creations of enamelled patterns: The cobalt blue pigment was applied to the paste of the will, under a transparent glaze then baked at a very high temperature.
