Traditional cast iron teapot in the shape of a galette, the radiant pattern evokes the Japanese parasol. The Japanese design is very aesthetic, the rays around the lid knob continue to cover the body of the kettle like bamboo. Japanese parasols are made of fine bamboo slats, which is a symbol of longevity and great resilience to trials (bamboo bends and rises again). The handle is covered with natural hemp fiber handcrafted.

Traditional tetsubin cast iron, without coating, high temperature treatment causes an oxide film as a natural protective lining against rust, Japanese technique. Its wide, flattened pancake shape allows the water to spread out and thus heat up more quickly while remaining hot for longer. The water discharges its chlorine ions and recharges itself with iron ions. “The secret of a tea ceremony consists above all in having good water which depends on its pot.”
