Small blue and gold Chinese teapot with silver

A small Chinese teapot with blue and white floral motifs backed with silver. The technique of gilding with pure silver (999) is an ancestral process, it consists of finely grinding the silver, then diluting it in iced water to line the pottery which will in turn be fired at high temperature. The ancients say that the tea water is softened like silk and the tea tastes better.
