Yixing clay ball teapot

Clay teapot from the Yixing region, completely round, one can clearly recognize the design of the workshops from this area. Its black color, intensified during firing, is due to the minerals present in the clay, and it is highlighted by its satin texture. The hazel branch pattern has been applied in layers of colored clay, all done in a handcrafted manner.

The clay is not glazed, it remains slightly porous and retains the oils from the consumed teas, which softens the taste of the tea over time. Perfect for Oolong, puer, dahongpao, tie guayin teas.
