This marvelous oil drop ceramic teapot is a Jian Zhan. A ceramic made from natural elements rich in iron, resulting in very hard porcelain and those magical results. As a reminder, the Jian Zhan is the result of a happy combination of clay rich in iron, vegetable ash, fired at 1300°, then an exceptional glaze based on natural minerals. In a beautiful ceramic with golden reflections, this small teapot is neither in aged gold nor in hammered bronze. The pottery has indeed been gently shaped and "hammered" this time by experienced craftsmen from Jingdezhen. Remarkably noble and antique look.
