Individual teapot between China and England

Wonderful little teapot in fine porcelain, on its own it does the service. All round, it completes by landing on the cup a perfect spherical shape, plus its saucer, it is the English gaiwan. The design could not be more English, but the blooming peonies with their tender foliage finely painted in overglaze is very Chinese. It looks like a silk print. What a pleasure to see such tasty know-how and aesthetics blend together. 

The peonies envelop the teapot and its cup on a milky porcelain, the gilding on the curves of the handles, around the mouth of the spout, not to mention around the lid and its porcelain button mounted as a jewel. Yes, a jewel to contemplate while drinking fragrant tea alone to complete the pleasure of the senses.
