The embossed porcelain teapot, with small blue flowers. Vine leaves and daisies crown the lid and then tumble over the round, pleated whiteness, as if under an arbor. Garlands of flowers flow around the large, embossed cups and saucers too. Blue on white patterns are a great classic, an inexhaustible source of creativity. The teapot is generous, the cups are also advantageous, the whole thing presents all the favorable signs for a successful tea-time.
Note, an embossed glass teapot replaced the porcelain one, a victim of its success. Here, the flowers fall in a garland on the porcelain filter which can be seen transparently on the pleated sides of the teapot.
High quality white porcelain, the patterns are applied to the biscuit under glaze and subjected to very high temperature. Fine and discreet gilding, carefully painted by hand.
Capacity of the teapot 600ml, height 12cm, plus 5cm including its matching porcelain heating support. The 210ml cup, height 5.5cm
