Solitary tea service between Japan and the West

$238.00

Superb complete solitaire tea service for a trip between Japan and the West. Yes, it's the round teapot that sits on a large bowl, thus forming a perfect sphere, all placed on a saucer: English design with the addition of its sugar bowl and its milk jug. An “all in one” takeaway service, the Asian world likes this idea. The clean and precise pattern, blue almost black ink stands out against the white porcelain, almost like calligraphy. It's easy to imagine a similar impression on a silk kimono. Pleasure for the senses, blend of know-how.

The crane motif, emblem of longevity, but also of love and fidelity, was applied using the decal technique on the biscuit and underglaze at high temperature.

The teapot has a volume of 450ml while the cup is 300ml. The milk jug is 8cm high, the sugar bowl 9cm, it is completed by a small matching porcelain spoon.
