A solitary teapot in magnificent colored porcelain. Its shape is that of a mug, with a porcelain filter. Its capacity is much more advantageous than a traditional Chinese teapot, even from Jingdezhen! The trend is increasingly leaning towards this kind of very contemporary design. The patterns rich in pigments are nonetheless those traditionally recognized from the workshops of Jingdezhen. Intricate and sought-after designs, top-quality gilding. All teas will be welcome.
The capacities 400ml and 420ml.
"We are witnessing an evolution in styles; Chinese workshops maintain extraordinary craftsmanship, but they also know how to adapt to modern life. They call this mug: 'Tea Water Separation Mug.'"
The white porcelain was subjected to high temperature, then layers of pigments in underglazes or glaze, followed by overglazes with each time softer firings; this is the Doucai technique. Hand gilding in overglaze.
Origin: Jingdezhen
