A teapot that has successfully combined Chinese aesthetics with Western design, the peacock and flower motifs are powerfully stylized and pigmented on a black background. It even looks like embroidery on black satin. A few touches of gold in fine edging complete the luxurious note of the teapot, on the lid in particular with its golden olive, which can be found on the sugar bowl and the other small teapot offered in variants.
Also in variants, the cups and their saucer, one of the cup models has exchanged its black background for a very attractive overseas blue-green. The sugar bowl and the milk jug are offered with their equally sumptuously decorated little tray.
Fine porcelain, with overglaze patterns, and hand-painted gold oil gilding. Subjected to high temperature, porcelain is hard and durable.
Gilding imported from Germany.
