Its black color intensified during firing is due to the minerals present in the clay, it is enhanced by its satiny texture. The hazel tree branch pattern was applied in superposition of colored clay, all this in an artisanal way. The glaze for one of the sea-green models is enamelled with precious agate, which is as warm and moist as jade. Small air bubbles shimmer in the glaze and give a slight impression of translucency. The other model of glaze would be more iron-based, during firing, the effects may differ from sample to sample, that's the charm of craftsmanship.  The workshops of Jingdezhen appropriated the pottery techniques of the Ming and Qing period to adjust them to their needs and times, which earned them the "charm of round bead craftsmanship" of which they are proud.
